Bachelor of Science in Communication

In WilmU’s undergraduate communication degree program, you’ll learn effective, strategic communication, branding and storytelling from leading practitioners. Courses such as Advanced Technical Communication will provide you with solid skills and experience and help you prepare for the Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) Exam, which gives you a competitive edge in domestic and international job markets. 

A choice of three concentrations allows you to tailor your communication degree to meet your goals:
  • Digital Journalism prepares you to use print, broadcast and digital channels to inform target audiences. 
  • Public Relations & Strategic Communication focuses on the use of marketing, advertising and public relations to craft unforgettable brands.  
  • Visual Communication prepares you to visually convey ideas and messages for commercial or promotional purposes.

Master of Science in Digital Communication

This multidisciplinary, STEM-designated program with 100% online options is an excellent choice for those seeking communication career opportunities in business, digital media, marketing, public relations, advertising, health care, and government and community affairs as well as traditional and nontraditional media. WilmU’s graduate digital communication program features a technical, project-based and technology-driven approach throughout the curriculum. Students will conduct research, analyze and evaluate communication data, and generate digital content.  

The program’s 18-credit communication core focuses on communication skills, including communication writing, crisis management and analytics. Six exciting specializations provide targeted training to align with your professional interests. Choose from:

These degree programs are part of a series of stackable credentials. Through WilmU’s Dual-Credit ADVANTAGE™ feature, students in the B.S. in Communication degree program can incorporate two master’s-level courses from the M.S. in Digital Communication program into their undergraduate degree, accelerating into their master’s program and saving tuition dollars.
